OTIS!

On December 10th, 1967...at just 26 years of age a man whose name would forever be synonymous with the term "Deep Soul" was taken from us way too early. He began his career as the driver for Johnny Jenkins and the Pinetoppers and was discovered during one of their recording sessions...imagine the first time someone heard that voice, as he belted out "These Arms Of Mine" at a Volt session- unbelievable.
Otis died before I was born, but he is remembered on a nearly daily basis around these parts. I have mixed the old with the new here- no rhyme or reason, and I have failed to include his only "hit" as I feel, like most "hits", it is sub-par. Hope you enjoy the selection.
